Kate performing as the marine biologist and writer Rachel Carson at the official dedication of the Rachel Carson Greenway in Silver Spring, Maryland. The performance took place in Rachel Carson's actual home where she wrote her award winning book Silent Spring that sounded the alarm about environmental pollution. Miss Carson's home is now the official home of the Rachel Carson Council (Executive Director, Diana Post, VMD).
